I’ve been involved with URA-AFT from the organization’s infancy. It started first with organizing membership and gradually expanded to my current responsibilities of Lead Steward for Douglass Campus. With URA-AFT, I’ve participated in card check, attended rallies/demonstrations, attended union based trainings and represented our members in grievances. Having worked in two public higher education institutions in the last 11 years, I’ve come to possess a unique set of experiences and insight which have served me well as a union representative. I am strong believer in community and hold a passion for fairness which makes my involvement in URA-AFT very rewarding. I look forward to expanding my leadership skills by serving as one of the New Brunswick/Piscataway representatives on the URA-AFT Executive Board. As a member of the board I would continue the mission of growing our membership, servicing our membership and most importantly strengthening our organization.
