Kathy Licinski
I was introduced to URA-AFT in October, 2006 during the early days of organizing.

During the organizing campaign I visited many Rutgers Administrators to explain the importance of the Union. When we got enough signatures to have a Union, I joined the Contract Committee and worked on the contract with several people to put together a very good contract. I also worked on the Election Committee and counted the hundreds of Union election ballots on Election Day.

The next step for me was to become one of the Lead Stewards on College Avenue Campus. This experience has opened my eyes to the many problems that our members are facing in their jobs and how important our Union is.

In the next three years I would like to help our members, make improvements to the Contract where needed, and work on making our Union stronger.

Many of the members that know me understand the passion that I can have regarding the Union and our members. I will make sure that the member voices are heard through me whenever possible.
